"Vivid image - easy to use and organize" 2009-01-06
By C. Wood (Lovettsville, VA USA)
I've had experience with these sorts of frames by other manufacturers in the past - and it was not enjoyable. This one is a clear exception. The ability to dump pre-organized photos onto the frame via USB cable from your computer, couldn't be easier. And once there - this frame offers the ability to select multiple photos and delete them through the frame, instead of the cumbesome one-at-a-time or ALL delete functions on other frames. The image quality is great - and the big test: the grandparents figured out how to use it!

 "Horrible Product" 2008-12-30
By G. Wong (California)
We received the frame as a gift. The frame viewable area is extremely small (the diagonal length is 6"). The resolution is horrible. Do not buy this photo frame.

 "Problems after 1 year" 2008-12-16
By D. Williams (Danville, CA USA)
I purchased this product (PAN604-JAC 6" Pandigital Frame) as a gift for Christmas 2007. Now as we approach Xmas '08, my mother-in-law is complaining about how dim it's become. I was sure it was just the brightness setting, but even at maximum, the frame has lost significant brightness over just one year with occassional use.

I was never pleased with the picture quality of this frame, but it was a good price at the time (current models have much better resolution for the price than last year).

I am really unhappy now seeing how the frame has degraded over time. You can barely see the pictures anymore.

So buyer beware on these Pandigital frames. I don't know if they've improved quality, but look for other reviews from people who've owned their products for a year+.

 "Programming the On/Off Schedule" 2008-11-05
By Mark (Texas)
I didn't think I would like a digital photo frame, but was given this as a gift two years ago - and I LOVE having digital pictures of my family on my desk! As it is in my bedroom I wanted to be able to have it automatically turn off at night, and it has that feature. Having said that, the feature seemed tough to program! Whenever there was a power failure the frame reset back to an "always on" slide show, and each time it took me no end of trial and error to get it functioning again. Well, today in frustration I set about to figure it out. Here are bullet proof instructions for programming the on/off schedule for the Pandigital PAN604-JAC 6" photo frame:

Programming MUST be done during the time interval you want the frame to be ON.

Turn the frame off (switch on left side)

Turn it back on - the PanDigital splash screen appears

(on my unit the slide show starts as I have it configured for slide show)

Using the remote, click Exit, Exit to display the Photo/Music/Video/Clock menu

click arrow over to select Clock

CHECK the date and time and set (click Setup) if needed

If not already in Setup, click Setup

arrow down and click Set ON/OFF Schedule

arrow to set the turn on and turn off times as desired

click Exit Exit Exit (to save and get to the main screen)

turn the frame off

turn the frame back on

(get Panditigal splash screen)

(slide show starts)

click Setup button

arrow to Start Scheduled ON/OFF and click Enter

The next picture should show the "On" icon bottom left

The ON/OFF schedule is now properly set!

I have tested this procedure many times and it works every time. Hope this helps someone!

"Great Frame - When it worked..." 2008-05-22
By C. Delaney (Michigan USA)
I got the 5.6" version of this frame for Christmas, worked great, easy to use, has lots of options on it, really enjoyed it... but it died after 6 months... (since they only come with a 90 day warrenty, I was out of luck for a replacment).

  1. looks like my experience with the smartparts sp1100w is not unusual. It worked for 6 months and died, low brightness
